Southdowns Manor.

What an idyllic fairytale wedding venue the Southdowns Manor is.

You will drive through a beautiful, Alice in wonderland type village, long and winding roads that will lead you to this marvellous open space with the most dreamy Alice in Wonderland lawns in front of this perfect elegant white Manor. “It is impressive.”

I believe it was built in the 19th century (1807) , it was also run as an independent school, a guest house and they used it as the quarters for members of the Canadian Air Force… “You can still see names carved into the original sweeping bay windows.”

The venue has sure retained it’s beauty and splendor, standing proud right in the middle of a forest like place also giving you a perfect backdrops to every wedding photo anyone takes and you will treasure them for the rest of your lives.

I visited on their open day,  I was greeted by their outstanding and welcoming staff, they handed me all the information I needed, they spoilt me rotten with their appetizers and  I explored the Manors realms at my own leisure.

I went upstairs and saw many over-night rooms “Which were fabulous.” and I even had a look at the honeymoon sweet. “Wow, impressive and the exquisite views of the Southdowns countryside from the window made me wish I was getting married!”

All rooms are licensed for ceremonies and they’re even licensed for ceremonies under the gazebo outside “Weather permitting of course, it is in England after all!”

With sensationalistic looking food for both the evening meal, wedding breakfast, evening buffet to hog roasts and your everyday breakfast, the staff would make sure your every need is catered for.

The venue is wheelchair friendly, however, unfortunately, there is no lift to the guest rooms or honeymoon suite.

Southdowns Manor is a perfect picturesque place to hold your wedding celebrations in.
